| A Board-certified internist, Dr. Juretic has been
the Medical Director of Marian Community Clinics in
Santa Maria, California from July 1999 to present.
During his tenure, the clinics have increased both the
services available and the number of patient visits.
Prior to that time, he worked in the 23-member
multi-specialty practice at Marian Hancock Medical
Clinic, also located in Santa Maria, where he served on
the Board of Directors as well. Dr. Juretic received his
medical degree with honors from Baylor College of
Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed his residency
in Internal Medicine at the University of California,
San Diego. Since February 2001, Dr. Juretic has appeared
in a live weekly medical segment on the local TV news in
Santa Maria called €œAsk the Doc€. He has served on the
Boards of the local chapters of both the American Heart
Association and the American Diabetes Association, and
is a frequent speaker for community organizations and at
hospital-sponsored community education forums. Dr.
Juretic is a member of the American Board of Internal
Medicine, the American College of Physicians and the
California Medical Association, and was chosen to
represent the Santa Barbara County Medical Society on
the Board of Directors of the Health Authority. |
