Robert Nichols is retired from P.G.& E. Co. where
his last assignment was as Manager of the Local
Government Relations Department. He
spent 20 + years at P.G. & E. Prior service included
employment in Sonoma County as Assistant County Assessor
for 20 years. He served in the Army Engineers during
World War II seeing action in Europe. He continued
his military service in the California National Guard
retiring with the rank of Major.
He has served as a Registered Volunteer HICAP counselor
for over 15 years receiving his early training in Marin
County and continuing his volunteer work in San Luis
Obispo upon moving here 5 years ago.Robert was born
September 11, 1922 in San Francisco. He and his
wife of 62 years, Dottie have two children. Son, Bob is
a graduate of Cal Poly and is an instructor at Hancock
College. Their daughter is a retired special
education teacher and an ordained Presbyterian minister.
