Michael Schrader has been the health plan's Chief
Operating Officer since June 2005. His
responsibilities include Contracting, Provider
Relations, Decision Support and Information Technology.
Prior, he was Director of the Claims and Information
Technology departments since July 2000. Mr.
Schrader holds a Masters in Business Administration from
the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and B.S.
Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of
Arizona. He serves as a Board member on the Santa
Barbara County Care Data Exchange.
Before joining the Health Authority, Mr. Schrader worked
for the Department of Defense as an instrumentation
engineer for missile-launch activities. He was
recognized for briefing representatives of the Russian
Federation in Washington D.C. for the Strategic Arms
Reduction Treaty.
