Paula Marie Michal

Paula Michal has been employed by the Health
Authority for the past 5 years and serves in the
capacity of Executive Assistant to the CEO/Clerk of the
Board.
Ms. Michal brings to her position expertise in a variety
of areas ranging from business ownership, teaching and
most recently, years of clinical experience assisting
physicians in the areas of plastic surgery and
dermatology.
Paula's undergraduate studies were accomplished at the
University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and later
completion of post-graduate studies at Antioch
University.
Ms. Michal's experience working in both business and the
health care industry along with her strong communication
skills serve to greatly enhance the responsibilities of
her position.
A resident of Santa Barbara for over 27 years, Paula has
been very active in the community working as a volunteer
for a variety of non-profit organizations. She is
currently serving as the Authority's United Way liaison
and participates in various collaborative activities
with the Authority's Community Focus Workgroup.
Ms. Michal is the proud mother of two grown sons,
Jeffrey and Matthew: both recent veterans of the U.S.
Army and residents of Santa Barbara. Paula's pride
and joy is her new granddaughter, Laura Leigh.
A self-proclaimed "workaholic" by nature, Paula does,
however, manage to find time to indulge her passions for
spending time with family and friends, reading, writing,
and taking her two Miniature Pinchers to the beach;
boyfriend Mark, in tow! |
