CenCal Health’s Medi-Cal Plan for Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties is known as “The Health Initiative”. CenCal Health is your Managed Care Health Plan. Since starting in 1983, CenCal Health has created access to high quality health care for its members by contracting with many local doctors, specialists and hospitals in both counties.
As a CenCal Health Member, you are able to choose a Primary Care Doctor that will help coordinate your medical care needs.

Healthy Kids Plan is ending on June 30, 2016.
The Healthy Kids Plan is ending and a new law is going into effect in May 2016 which will allow children less than 19 years of age to apply for full scope Medi-Cal benefits regardless of their immigration status.
