Ambassador Program

ambassadorThe CenCal Health’s Ambassador Program was developed to provide more diversity in staffing sponsored community events and provide employees the opportunity to connect directly with the community and members they serve.

We believe our employees are the best Ambassadors of our Mission, which is to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve by providing access to high quality health service, along with outreach, and education for our membership.

Each CenCal Health Ambassador completes a training on our processes and receives a certificate of completion. After being trained the Ambassador selects an event that they would like to participate in, from a rolling calendar. Our Communications staff prepares them with educational materials and resources to provide to our communities and members at events such as how to contact our Member Services Department, how to apply for Medi-Cal benefits, immunizations, 24-hour nurse line, mental health, nutrition and exercise and transportation.

In an effort to continuously improve our processes our Ambassadors complete an event evaluation for every event they attend so as to evaluate the CenCal Health Ambassador program on an annual basis.

CenCal Health’s Ambassadors are excited to get to know our members and communities better. Please look for them in their light blue CenCal Health Ambassador shirts as they circulate throughout our communities.
