Diabetes is a life-long disease. Having diabetes means that you have too much glucose (sugar) in your blood.
There are many reasons someone might develop diabetes. Sometimes the causes are unknown, especially for Type 1 diabetes. Family history, being overweight and not getting regular exercise is strongly linked to developing Type 2 diabetes.
If you have diabetes, sometimes it might seem too hard to manage it. But you can stay healthy by taking care of yourself and learning what you need to do to control diabetes.
There are some you can do to get your diabetes in control:
