The Healthy Kids Plan has ended and a new law went into effect in May 2016 which allows children less than 19 years of age to apply for full scope Medi-Cal benefits regardless of their immigration status. Former Healthy Kids Members:
If you have a complaint or appeal regarding the services you received under the Healthy Kids Program, you have 180 days to file a complaint from the date the incident occurred or 180 days to appeal a treatment or service that was denied to you from the date it was denied. Should you have a billing concern regarding medical or pharmacy services you received under the Healthy Kids Program, you must call our Member Services Department and ask for assistance through the Member Billing Process within 6 months from the date of service.
