Electronic Clinical Data System

HEDIScontactAs part of ongoing improvements in quality measurement, the Quality Measurement Team is working to increase collection of data through provider submission of electronic medical record data.

This will allow for data sharing between provider electronic medical records and CenCal Health while reducing the on-site medical record review burden for providers.

Capturing ECDS data is an integral part of quality measurement.  By obtaining quality of care data that is not otherwise captured through claims, laboratory, or registry data, CenCal Health can measure aspects of quality that are not routinely reported from provider data.

ECDS Data Feed

Electronic Clinical Data System (ECDS) measures are the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) established HEDIS® measures that incorporate provider electronic medical record data into the measurement of quality of care.  ECDS data collection is part of a nationwide plan to capture information regarding aspects of care quality with less reliance on clinical medical record review.  In order to measure this, CenCal Health's Quality Measurement Team is requesting provider partnership to supply ECDS data files to CenCal Health.
